MDMS Registration in Nepal

What is MDMS?
MDMS is a centralized government– possessed system to keep a record of any and all phones and analogous electronic accessories hat enter the country via their unique IMEI number( s). This includes smartphones, point phones, bar phones, tablets, etc. So, any contrivance with SIM, principally.
How to Register IMEI Number in Nepal?
1. Identify your IMEI number by dialing *#06# and copy it.
2. Visit NTA’s Official Website and click on the ‘Know Your Device’ button to check whether your IMEI number is registered or not.

3. Enter your IMEI number and click on the ‘Submit’ button to check your registration status.
NOTE: If your IMEI number is registered then it’s OK. If not then proceed next steps to register your IMEI number.
4. Visit the website and click on the ‘Sign up’ button and select ‘Individual Application’ to enter the online form.

5. Fill the form duly and click on the ‘Submit’ button.
6. Check whether your form has been submitted or not.
You have submitted your form, it will get proceed within a few days. For confirmation, you can check your registration status as explained above in Step 2.
How to check if your phone is registered under MDMS?
Now, in order to verify if your handset is officially listed in MDMS, you can head on to “mdms.nta.gov.np“. You’ll see two input fields there; one to check if your existing phone(s) is registered in the system, and the other to verify whether the phone you’re about to purchase has been logged into MDMS or not.
Is it MDMS Necessary in Nepal?
